13 April 2026
This release gives buyers greater control over how they engage suppliers, with new tools for assigning targeted questions and requested actions to specific supplier groups. Suppliers get greater visibility of customer requests and reduction targets, and new data export tools to support emissions forecasting.
Question assignment by supplier group
Buyers can now assign specific questions to different groups of suppliers using a new ‘Questions’ page. Questions can be assigned to suppliers by label, allowing different question sets to be sent to different supplier groups as part of data requests.
Action requests (Buyers)
Buyers can now request specific actions from suppliers using a new ‘Action requests’ page. Actions from the actions library can be assigned to supplier groups using labels, allowing buyers to direct suppliers towards the actions most relevant to their emissions targets. Up to five actions can be assigned per label.
Action requests (Suppliers)
Suppliers can now see which actions have been requested by their customers directly in the actions library, where requested actions are marked and can be filtered by customer name. Suppliers are notified in platform and by email when customers update their action requests.
Emissions reduction requests (Suppliers)
Suppliers can now see the annual emissions reduction percentage their customers are asking them to aim for, visible in the forecast per year tab of the emissions forecast dashboard. Each customer’s target is displayed alongside the facility’s own forecast decarbonization rating, making it easy to compare progress against customer expectations.
Actions data (Suppliers)
Suppliers now have access to a new ‘Actions data’ page, providing a detailed view of actions across their facilities. The page shows each action alongside its forecast emissions impact, water and waste changes, and financial data. Results can be filtered by facility, focus area, status, and the year in which actions are effective. The full dataset can be exported for reporting purposes.
This release also includes a number of fixes and minor interface improvements.
30 March 2026
This release introduces emissions forecasting tools for both buyers and suppliers, giving greater visibility of decarbonisation trajectories and the projected impact of planned actions. Buyers also gain the ability to set supplier emissions reduction targets directly in platform.
Emissions forecast glidepath (Suppliers)
Suppliers now have access to a new ‘Emissions forecast’ page, showing how planned actions are expected to affect emissions over time. The page has two views: ‘Forecast per year’ shows projected Scope 1 & 2 emissions as a bar chart across a selected time range, with a trend line overlay showing the overall trajectory from baseline year to forecast year. ‘Forecast per focus area’ breaks down projected savings as a waterfall chart, showing the contribution of each action focus area to the overall forecast. Both views are based on the facility’s baseline year and planned actions. A summary statistic showing the forecast average annual percentage change over 20 years is also displayed alongside the forecast.
Emissions forecast glidepath (Buyers)
Buyers now have access to a new ‘Emissions forecasts’ dashboard, giving a view of projected emissions reductions from across their supply chain. The dashboard shows supplier action savings as a waterfall chart broken down by action focus area, across a selected date range. Results can be filtered by supplier, facility, country, and label, and the underlying data can be exported.
Emissions reduction requests (Buyers)
Buyers can now set an annual Scope 1 & 2 CO2e reduction target for their suppliers under a new emissions reduction request page. The target is expressed as an annual percentage reduction and is shared with all suppliers, where it is reflected in their emissions forecast.
Supplier engagement dashboard expanded
The facility data tab of the supplier engagement dashboard now includes summary cards showing supplier facilities grouped by their forecast decarbonization percentage: lower than 2%, between 2-5%, greater than 5%. These figures are based on each facility’s emissions forecast glidepath. A deeper view is available on the emissions forecast dashboard, and the per-facility forecast decarbonization figure is also available in the facility data export.
Supplier action data reporting
Buyers now have access to a new ‘Supplier actions data’ page, providing a detailed view of the actions suppliers are working on across their supply chain. The page shows each supplier facility’s actions alongside allocated emissions data, forecast emissions change, and projected impacts on water and waste. Only suppliers who have shared emissions data to the buyer within the last two years are included. Results can be filtered by supplier, facility, focus area, action status, and the year in which actions are effective. The full data set can be exported for reporting purposes.
This release also includes a number of fixes and minor interface improvements.
16 March 2026
This release expands action planning for suppliers, introducing default action plans, recommended actions, corporate initiatives, and the ability to track the financial and carbon impact of projects. Buyers gain a new supplier engagement dashboard for tracking and reporting on supply chain progress. And both buyers and suppliers will notice a new weekly summary email to help them manage platform notifications.
Default action plan at the facility level
When opening an empty action plan, suppliers are now prompted to either start with a set of recommended actions or begin with a blank plan. Recommended actions are tailored to each facility based on its location and energy mix, and can be accepted as a starting point or dismissed. The actions library also now includes a recommended actions filter, available both as a button and within the collections dropdown, making it easier to browse recommended actions and add or remove them from your plan.
Benchmark year and production output for action forecasting
Suppliers are now required to set a baseline year and annual change in production output on their facility action plan, giving forecasting a meaningful foundation. The baseline year is automatically set to the most recently shared facility report and can be updated at any time. If no shared report exists for the chosen baseline year, suppliers will be prompted to complete one before forecasting can begin. Annual production change is entered as a percentage increase or decrease compared to the baseline year, and is displayed at the top of the action plan once set.
Action impact tracking
Suppliers can now record the expected impact of actions in their action plan against their baseline year, across up to four impact types: emissions, water, waste, and financial. Emissions impact can be recorded either as amounts of CO2e or as a percentage change across individual emission sources. Financial impact covers both initial capital expenditures and annual change to operating costs. Water and waste impacts are recorded as changes to water withdrawal and waste sent to disposal respectively.
Corporate Initiatives
Suppliers can now create and manage corporate level projects under a new ‘Corporate initiatives’ page. Corporate initiatives define organization-wide policies and ambitions, and can be linked to specific facilities and facility-level actions to connect high-level commitments to on-the-ground activity. Initiatives can be searched and filtered by focus area or key words.
Weekly summary email
Secaro now sends a weekly summary email covering recent platform activity. Suppliers receive a summary of any unanswered data requests, reports due soon, and overdue reports. Buyers receive a summary of any accepted, rejected, or completed data requests. Users who prefer not to receive the weekly summary can opt out at any time in their user settings.
Supplier engagement dashboard
Buyers now have access to a new ‘Supplier engagement’ dashboard. The dashboard is split into two tabs, supplier and facility data, and gives buyers an overview of supplier request and action plan progress across their supply chain. Data can be filtered by year, country, label, and supplier or facility name. The full contents of each tab can be exported as a CSV file for reporting purposes.
This release also includes a number of fixes and minor interface improvements.
02 Mar 2026

Suppliers gain a clearer viewof their energy profile, and both buyers and suppliers benefit from improved email notifications to help manage platform activity.
Data request exports
Buyers can now export a full list of their data requests directly from the Request data page. The export captures all requests across all tabs in a single CSV file, including request status, supplier and facility details, contact information, and key dates such as when the requests were sent, completed, or rejected. Filters applied to the page are reflected in the export.
Sponsored license management
Buyers can now manage which suppliers are eligible to claim sponsored licenses directly in platform. Eligible suppliers can be flagged individually or in bulk, and eligibility can also be set when uploading the data request CSV. Suppliers flagged as eligible will be able to claim a sponsored license when sharing a report.
Supplier emissions performance
Buyers can now compare supplier emissions year-on-year from a new chart in the supplier performance dashboard. The chart groups supplier facilities by the scale of their emissions change compared to the previous year, across both absolute emissions and emissions intensity. Results can be filtered by supplier, country, assessment type, and label, and the full dataset can be exported across all available years.
Electricity profile breakdown
Secaro now includes an electricity profile view, showing the breakdown of electricity across four categories: renewable self-generated, renewable purchased, standard renewable, and standard non-renewable. For buyers this can be found in the ‘Supplier energy’ dashboard, for suppliers in the ‘My energy’ dashboard.
Comment notifications on data requests
Users can now receive an email notification when a comment has been added to a data request by the other party. The email includes a direct link to the relevant request.
Account activation email
Users now receive an email notification when their account is deactivated or reactivated, with guidance on who to contact if they believe the change has been made in error.
This release also includes a number of fixes, minor interface improvements, and navigation updates.
