What are Scope 3 emissions and why should I measure them?

Scope 3 emissions are the indirect greenhouse gas emissions that occur throughout your value chain, from the goods and services you purchase to how your products are used and disposed of. 

They often account for more than 70% of a company’s total carbon footprint.

Measuring Scope 3 emissions helps you understand where most of your climate impact lies, identify high-impact suppliers or activities, and take targeted action to reduce emissions.
