DitchCarbon’s AI platform collects and validates emissions data - it currently has emissions data on over 1.4m companies worldwide.
Using the identified trends, Secaro will collect additional data from suppliers to their joint customer base, and leverage its 8,000 strong network to pinpoint actions that will drive rapid decarbonization.
The data duo plans to roll out the partnership across the pharmaceutical, automotive, consumer goods and retail sectors.
London, UK, Monday 2nd February 2026: Secaro, the ESG supply chain intelligence network and DitchCarbon the leading scope 3 platform, have today announced a partnership that will provide buyers and suppliers with a frictionless way to collect, organize, identify, and act on supply chain emissions data.
This collaboration will serve customers that want 100% high-quality data coverage for reporting purposes but also detailed primary data and decarbonization actions for the most critical suppliers.
While there have been delays to emissions reporting regulations, such as Europe’s CSRD, and scope 3 emissions reporting remains voluntary in the US, businesses continue to be under pressure to reduce environmental impact from customers, investors and other stakeholders.
According to data from Secaro, which recently rebranded from Manufacture 2030, businesses are still committing to - and pursuing - decarbonization targets. 70% of 2,500 companies surveyed by the company, as part of 2024 reporting year submissions, have emissions reduction targets in place. There is also an increasing focus on supply chain risks, many of which are linked to carbon emissions reduction and climate change.
But there is a bottleneck that is preventing swift action – scope 3 emissions reporting was identified as the biggest obstacle to supply chain decarbonization in a recent report from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The report also revealed that manual requests remain the most common way to collect scope 3 data, a time-intensive task that is estimated to take companies anything between one to five years to complete.
The partnership between Secaro and DitchCarbon is set to solve this bottleneck by creating a frictionless process for companies to obtain high quality scope 3 data. DitchCarbon's AI-powered platform automatically collects and audits primary emissions data over a million organisations, turning months of tedious work into hours of audit-level data, without the need for surveys. All the data collected is evidenced by the source, creating a simple audit trail.
Secaro examines the trends from this initial data and collects more granular facility, product and corporate primary data, such as site-level heat usage or product carbon footprints (PCFs). Secaro focuses on top-tier emitters and suggests the decarbonization actions that will have the biggest impact. Customers can leverage Secaro’s 8,000 strong network to collaborate on more costly actions, such as renewable energy projects, and connect with expert partners and solution providers. To date, businesses have already taken 45,000 actions to decarbonize their supply chains using Secaro’s platform.
“High quality, comprehensive supply chain data is still very hard to come by,”
says Marc Munier, CEO, DitchCarbon.
"With DitchCarbon, customers can not only get 100% of their suppliers’ data for their scope 3 reporting, but this data can be automatically populated into Secaro’s platform. This saves valuable relationship capital with suppliers so they can focus instead on what really matters - reducing emissions.”
“We saw the bottleneck of high-quality scope 3 data building, and we wanted to forge a partnership that enabled customers to collect, exchange and successfully use this data without having to compromise on quality, or lose valuable time to data collection and input,”
says Emily Prior, Chief Growth Officer, Secaro.
“Our partnership with DitchCarbon sees both companies play to their strengths to deliver a seamless experience for our customers and enable them to rapidly decarbonize.”
